Launch an Online Course with a Small List

Wondering how to launch an online course with a small list? Or, thinking that it is impossible to launch an online course with a small list?

The fastest way to grow a list of paying clients is to launch an online course. I went from 150 people on my list to over 25k with my first online course in less than one year.

Here’s how to launch an online course with a small list by leveraging the 3 sources of traffic:

1. Your List
2. Paid Traffic
3. Promotional Partners

#1: Your List

Even with a tiny list, you can still leverage your connections to launch your online course with a small list. In a previous post, I shared how to launch an online course with a small list with 9 no-cost strategies. Almost every week, I have someone in our Create 6-Figure Courses community share that they were able to get 5, 8 or 10 paying clients into a what we call “beta” launch of their course with a small list. Most of them price their courses at $997, which means that is $5-$10k in revenue which you can then invest in your next launch which brings us to the next source of traffic. I can show you how to do this-it’s easier than you might think.

#2: Paid Traffic

Paid traffic is generated by running ads on platforms like Google or Facebook. When I was trying to figure out how to launch an online course with a small list of less than 150, I used Facebook ads to expand my reach and to create my first 6-figure course launch. You can invest a small budget to test the ads that work best for your audience. I can show you how to do this-it can be easier than you think. #3: Promotional Partners

Think of promotional partners as people or companies that serve the same community as you, but offer something different than you do. Promotional partners can help you launch an online course with a small list by sending email invitations to your preview webinar or other lead magnet in exchange for a referral commission. If you want to go faster, get out of the usual thought process of going after big “list” marketers and instead find thought leaders in your niche.

Think about experts in your field, vendors your people use, popular bloggers and podcasters in your space-these are all great connections to finding your people and potential promotional partners.
