3 Things You Can Do to Find Paying Coaching and Consulting Clients On Facebook

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

I recently shared a guest post on the blog of my friend and social media powerhouse, Mari Smith, (named one of Forbes Top 10 Social Media Influencers). In my post,  “3 Reasons You Are Struggling to Find Paying Clients on Facebook” (and what to do about it), I outlined the biggest reasons coaches and consultants like you often struggle to find paying coaching and consulting clients on Facebook.

Let’s talk more about what you can do right now to start finding your ideal (paying) clients on Facebook (or anywhere online).

We attract thousands of great folks into our community each month. My main source for finding great clients that join my online courses, coaching programs and higher level mastermind programs is Facebook.

To find your paying coaching and consulting clients on Facebook, here are 3 actions you can take NOW:

Action 1:  Create a product that is not “YOU”

Here’s the truth: You will never be able to scale your business if the main product you are selling is your time.

I often hear the question, “What should my first product be?”

I highly recommend your main product be a product that you can charge enough for to monetize your marketing efforts. (Otherwise, you end up selling the old-fashioned way: one-to-one or speaking gig-to-speaking gig).  Here is why an online course that introduces your ideal clients to your work is the most powerful first offer because it:

1-Enables you to serve many people.

2-Is created once and then provides a steady stream of income forever

3-Creates demand for higher end offers such as group coaching, one-on-one coaching, on-site consulting, retreats, events, additional courses and more.

4-Creates enough value to enable you to charge more than enough for the course to cover your Facebook advertising efforts.

Action 2: Get clear on the specific problem you will solve.

Specific sells. And, being specific about the results your offer produces will help you stand out.

What sounds more powerful to you? Let’s look at some examples:

If you are career coach:

Non-specific: I can help you fulfill your career goals.

Specific Results: Build a 60-Day Step-by-Step Plan for Finding Your Dream Job (or reinventing the one you have)

If you are a sales consultant:

Non-Specific: I teach you powerful sales techniques that will increase your revenue fast.

Specific Results: Fill Your Sales Pipeline in 30 Days With Clients That Say “YES”

If you are health expert:

Non-specific: I teach you how to heal your gut.

Specific Results: Eliminate stomach pain the natural way in 5 simple steps.

The biggest mistake course creators make is focusing on “what” they will teach rather than “what problem” to solve. Clear results from your product enable you to create clear offers in your Facebook ads.

Action 3:  Get specific on the people you are targeting

Who are the people you want to serve? What do they read, buy, belong to? Here’s a checklist of questions to get you started building a ideal client profile.:

1. What are their favorite publications?

2-Are there any experts they follow?

3-What associations would they likely be a member of? (trade associations)

4-What vendors or businesses would they use?

The answers to all of these questions can be used to find your exact clients online. Want to fill your online yoga course? You can go way beyond targeting simple Facebook ad demographic targets like “women” in the “age range of 25-65”.

You can create a Facebook campaign that shows your ad to women who like “Yoga Journal” and belong to the online group  “Yoga Teachers” and have been trained in “Bikram Yoga”.

BRAND NEW LIVE EVENT + INSTANT ACCESS BONUS: I’ll be hosting a live, 2-day event to build your 2016 earning plan to hit your “magic number” and fill your programs step-by-step using Facebook ads and other free and paid traffic sources. PLUS, if you act fast, you can be one of the first 50 registrants that will receive instant access training on how to generate revenue while you create your next offer and get clear on exactly who your perfect clients are (so you can find them easily).

To sum it up

To find your paying clients on Facebook, you have to narrow your market and focus on the result your audience is looking for.

Researching and getting specific in the offer is where all of the coaches, consultants and entrepreneurs in my Create 6-Figure Courses Virtual Bootcamp begin. The more specific, the more successful the offer.

When you create an online course (or any product) that is designed to deliver results it makes finding your ideal audience on Facebook or any online space much simpler and much cheaper.

The key is to figure out the one thing you can do that will make the

Then, do that ONE thing first.
